Augustine's SuperBalm has been thoroughly examined and approved by ACO to make the 92% certified organic claim. While some products advertise that they are made with certified organic ingredients, not all are approved by an organic certification body and should not be using the word 'certified'. The remaining 8% is naturally derived and cannot be certified but is still approved for use in certified organic production.
Why a balm instead of a cream?
Creams are on average 80% water and bacteria breeds in water, not in oil and butters. Producing a balm means that we do not have to use preservatives to prevent bacteria, in turn not compromising the product's organic integrity. Given that creams are 80% water, producing a balm means that we are not diluting the benefits of our ingredients, in turn producing a more potent and effective formula.
When should I use Augustine's SuperBalm and When should I use Augustine's SuperBath?
On the contrary to popular belief, most skin problems have an internal root-cause. It is only a smaller percentage of dogs that have a purely topical infection that these products can help address. The skin is the weakest organ and when nasties cannot be eliminated through the digestive system they tend to come out through the skin.
Our balm and bath can provide relief while our supplements (including Faith's Cleanse & Detox and our Healthy Skin Bundles) restore gut balance and in turn address the root cause of skin problems. . Augustine's SuperBalm and Augustine's SuperBath will go after fungus and bacteria, soothe the skin and provide relief from irritations while our supplements get to work. The comparison I like to use is to a mosquito bite - if you leave it alone it heals quickly. If you continually scratch and pick at it, it becomes a lot worse.
The skin is a living organ and nasties are continually being expelled (sometimes for weeks or months), hence why 1-2 Augustine's SuperBaths may not be enough. While Augustine's SuperBath is extremely powerful and effective at attacking fungus and bacteria topically, customers may struggle to keep up with regular bathing and it can also be difficult to submerge some dogs for minutes at a time, especially larger dogs or those that do not like water. It is also time consuming to bathe dogs daily. Augustine's SuperBalm offers ease and convenience, especially in hard to bathe areas like the ears. Ideally the two should be used together, reducing the frequency of bathing.
Directions
Apply to troubled areas 1-3 times a day.
Storage & Use
Use within 12 months of opening. Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight below 30°C / 86°F. Do not refrigerate.

MIRACLE!
You need Augustine Approved products in your dogs (and your own) life! I'm up in the top end of Australia, where canine skin irritations are a part of life during the wet season. Augustine Approved has brought all that to a halt! My kelpie puppy Maya was suffering shortly after her arrival up here, thanks to a reaction to a dose of you know what (was not my choice) and the humidity. She was covered in painful welts all over her underside and was extremely uncomfortable. I started Maya on Augustine's SuperBoost, Faith's Cleanse & Detox and Augustine's SuperBath. The effect was near immediate and you could see the relief in her little eyes. Her welts cleared up in under one week, I couldn't believe it! Maya's skin is perfect now thanks but every now and again my adventurous puppy gets minor cuts and scratches. Augustine's SuperBalm fixes them straight up with outstanding results, so much so I've started using it on myself! It even cleared up Maya's paw after she managed to coat it in tree sap that burnt her! It helped me with my own heat rash and irritation that many of us suffer from up here with just a few applications... literal magic! I also recently cut my foot quite badly and reached straight for Augustine's SuperBalm. It's healing dramatically faster than usual and the anti-inflammatory effects are so easy to see. I cannot recommend this product highly enough - i tell everyone who wants to listen to get some in their first aid kit for not just their pets but themselves.
